For three days during the spring half-term holiday the ancient Church of St Mary's, Slaugham was transformed in a space ship (The Millenium Parrot)! 40 primary aged children joined in the fun as they made crafts, played games and sped through space to discover more about Jesus, The Miracle Maker. One boy was heard to remark to his dad as they left,' I wish it was for four days, not three.' Great fun was had by all, including all the helpers and Captain Smirk also known as Rev. Gary Simmons.
